Training and Qualifications
I am a trained and qualified person-centred counsellor and counselling supervisor.
My main training was at the Metanoia Institute in London, where I graduated with a first-class honours degree in person-centred counselling in 2012. I then obtained a post-graduate certificate in focusing-oriented psychotherapy at the University of East Anglia in 2013, and since then have studied further with a particular interest in the emotion-focus approach.
In 2019, I completed a COSCA-accredited certificate course for the supervision of counsellors at the Tom Allan Institute, Glasgow. In 2020, I qualified in supervision at diploma level, studying with Mike Worrall and Linda Smith in Nottingham. In 2022, I completed supervision training in the Person-Centred Experiential approach, which is used within the NHS by therapists specialising in Counselling for Depression.
I am an accredited registrant member of the NCS, the National Counselling Society.
